Lacey Peterson travels to London with the All American Cheer Team

Lacey PetersonOver Winter Break one of Coal Ridge High School's very own went on a wonderful Adventure. It all started when Lacey Peterson tried out for the All American Cheer Team and made the team! She was then assigned to the cheer group that would be performing in London, England. Her performance was during the New Year's Day parade. The 3 mile parade route is a huge event in London and across the United States, having it's own website dedicated to the parate, http:/ Thousands were in attendance and it was televised live over 500 television stations including coast to coast in the US.

Lacey Peterson shared this amazing experience with her mother, Shasta Peterson. Lacey said, "I couldn't have made this trip without my mom. I didn't know anyone there. I truly enjoyed sharing this trip with her."

When asked if this experience had changed how she sees the world, Lacey said, "Yes, I left London feeling incredibly blessed to live in the US." Lacey was asked if she thought this trip would impact her future. She said, "Yes, it definitely has. I 've always wanted to travel but now I feel more ambitious and determined to see the world. I'm also excited to be able to add this experience to my college applications and scholarships when I plan for college next year."
